A hotel in Walsall, a pile of zombie fanatics and some special guest stars and there you have it another perfect event for Terror4fun to attend and do some zombie stuff at…

Throughout the weekend there was blood, guts, make up, zombies and general chaos with a main programme and an alternative programme too featuring talks, panel discussions, demos and hitting people covered in cardboard with big sticks… So really something for everyone and of course the guests, the main ones being the critically acclaimed author Robert Rankin whose next book features zombies… Terror4funs main melon, Stuart Conran, make up guru from Shaun of the Dead and Peter Jacksons Braindead and Charlie Adlard, artist from the groundbreaking ‘Walking Dead' series of comics….

Each night there was dance, the Fridays was a traditional ‘Carrie' style prom dance and on the Saturday night a whole fancy dress extravaganza, featuring amongst many… Zombie Captain America from the ‘Marvel Zombies' comics… bloody ace…

Now Zombie Ed thought, you know 2 hours of talking and then 46 hours of drinking, but this soon changed and Terror4un were responsible for a number of the different activities… Which varied in their intensity… There was:

The Zombie Choreography Lesson. Where a large number of the guests learned how to become a zombie in various key stages and then took part in huge Survivors Vs Zombie Vs Injured Folks shoot out.

The Regeneration Game. Zombie Ed co-hosted this variant of the classic which led to blood, chaos and a lot more cardboard based Tom-foolery, with prizes galore for all and sundry…

Dead Good Films. A selection and discussion of some seriously good zombie movies, clips and shorts. From the unreleased at that point ‘The Vanguard' to some awesome well known short films like ‘Detained' and ‘Zombie Movie.'

The 5 Best and Worst Zombie Movies… Ever? Co-hosted by Zombie Ed, the best were pretty much already decided with Romeros and Shaun and Dellamore, etc, etc. The worst were more debatable with Zombie Ed arguing there is no such thing as a bad zombie movie, but at that point he hadn't seen ‘Tobe Hoopers Mortuary.” In which case he would have changed his mind…

The Great Zombie Debate. Was a serious discussion about whether we think the likes of ‘RAGE' is really a zombie affliction, and whether zombies can run or walk, or open doors, and whether it's ‘fair' that now zombies can run after you, when really they should be braindead. This caused much debate and as Zombie Ed sat on the panel it did seem to be even defining a zombie was virtually impossible, and the philosophical came into play with such questions as is being a zombie simply a ‘lack of identity….'

My God, we were glad the bar was close…

The Convention ended and the zombies returned to the graves from whence they had come… Sated and loving it…

A beautiful event run by beautiful people…
